The Institute of Music cooperates with, among others, with: Cantus Humanus chamber choir; UZ Big Band; the Cantemus Domino and Polirytmia choirs; State Music School of the 2nd and 2nd degree im. M. Karłowicz in Zielona Góra; Private Music School "Yamaha" in Zielona Góra; Youth Center for Culture and Education "Dom Harcerza" in Zielona Góra; Cultural Center in Zielona Góra; primary and secondary schools of the Lubuskie Voivodeship; the Zielona Góra Jazz Association; Lubuskie Cultural Society; the Festival "Music in Paradise" in Paradyż; the Zielona Góra Philharmonic; Lubuskie Theater in Zielona Góra; the Institute of Music and Dance in Warsaw; De Musica Association in Warsaw; Polish Composers' Union in Warsaw.
The Institute of Visual Arts cooperates with many cultural and educational institutions and other university departments. It organises different exhibitions where overall achievements of lecturers, students and graduates are displayed. Recently, our Department has also begun productive cooperation with different design companies and factories. The main purpose of these activities is to make logotype designs, design new product patterns, packages and advertisements.
In May 2013, we carried out workshops on furniture and office interior design in cooperation with Mikomax in conjunction with the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. Our cooperation with furniture factories are actively supported by the Marshal’s Department of the County of Lubuskie. We are also planning to broaden our activities by carrying out diploma projects connected with the issues of the companies we cooperate with. This, hopefully, will contribute to our students’ better professional experience and will broaden their knowledge on the employment market.
Our students from the Department of Art Education in Fine Arts are also sent on placement where they have an opportunity to observe other teacher’s work as well as a school’s activities. They also have an opportunity to teach a module in Fine Arts.The students of Graphics and Interior Design have their placement in Interior Design and Advertising companies. For many years we have also been cooperating with BWA Gallery in Zielona Gora where the pupils from primary schools and nurseries are invited to participate in workshops run by our students. These activities are supposed to further prepare our students for their future work as teachers of fine arts.
